Avery and Alec's love story began in early 2018 with two right swipes. After matching on Tinder, Alec took Avery to get a milkshake at Sonic on their first date. From then on, they were inseparable, spending every second they could together.

Over the past 6 years, they've grown together and accomplished many life milestones -- from navigating college and date parties, to graduating and getting their first full-time jobs, to signing their first lease together and traveling to new places.

On September 10, 2023, Alec proposed during a trip to the Pacific Northwest at the Seattle Japanese Gardens. Avery was very surprised because every time she would ask Alec, "Are you going to propose on this trip?" he would give an Oscar-worthy performance and asked if she would be upset if it didn't happen then (lots of you know Avery is a very gullible person).
